Solicitors Skydive for Sands!

  • Posted

Seven brave members of the Martin Tolhurst team  signed up to take part in a Charity Sky Dive and jumped 12,000ft out of a plane  to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. This charity was voted decisively for by the firm as the charity of the year which provides bereavement support services for anyone affected by the loss of a baby with a network of around 100 regional support groups in the UK which are run on a voluntary basis by people who have themselves experienced the death of a baby.

Not only will this be an absolutely amazing experience for each individual but also an incredibly courageous way to raise money. The sky dive took place on Sunday 27th October and each of the team really supported each other in what was a scary way to spend a Sunday! All in all the team succeeded and a great sense of achievement was felt. Jess Madgett from the Gravesend Martin Tolhurst Solicitors branch commented after the event ‘It was an amazing, I would do it again in a heart beat! Truly one of the best experiences I’ve had’.

This charity is held very closely to so many people’s hearts and the team all smashed their targets, fundraising over £3700 all together.

Now let us name those amazing women who took to the air and helped this fantastic charity, Sands;

Alicia Hollands, Leah Chambers and Katie Shearn all took part from the Sittingbourne Martin Tolhurst Solicitors branch.  Jessica Madgett, Liza Anderson and Francesca Brogan all partook from the Gravesend branch and lastly Lucy Skitt took part from the Ashford branch of Martin Tolhurst Solicitors.
