Legal Secretary – Probate & Conveyancing (Private Client) 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary seeking a new challenge with an award winning firm. You will assist and support fee earners with secretarial and administrative duties

Job Description

The successful candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Audio and copy typing all correspondence to include letters, legal forms (Oyez) and quotes
  • Answer the telephone in a polite and efficient manner
  • Undertake administrative duties such as photocopying, and updating client details
  • Filing correspondence and ensuring files are kept up to date
  • Arranging appointments and dealing with clients
  • Access and input data on to the firm’s client case management system, Proclaim

The Candidate

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a New Enquiries Adminitrator seeking a new challenge with an award winning firm. The purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact when booking initial consultations whilst working alongside Fee Earners, Solicitors, Partners, Senior Management and support staff across all of our offices. You must maintain and progress the smooth transitioning of enquiries from new and existing clientele.

Job Description

The role includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Dealing with New Enquires that come into the office, via email or by phoneCompleting enquiry forms and other relevant key documentation related to each enquiry
  • Booking appointments and initial consultations for clients and sending confirmation letters
  • Updating and maintaining enquiry tracking spreadsheets to the highest standards
  • Organising, filing and keeping track of post-appointment documentation and following up after appointments
  • Working alongside the Client Relationship/Marketing Manager, Fee Earners, Solicitors and Secretarial teams - maintaining the key lines of communication
  • Keeping up to date with firm offers to ensure that our new and existing clients are aware of these

Commercial Property Solicitor

The successful candidate must have experience in the following:

  • Proven experience in contentious and non-contentious commercial property matters.
  • Ability to undertake a varied workload of contentious and non-contentious commercial property matters including; acquisitions and disposals, developments, estate management, commercial lease renewals (opposed and unopposed), dilapidations claims, service charge disputes and rent recovery.
  • A willingness to undertake contentious commercial property work in addition to the contentious workload.
  • Supervision of fee-earning work undertaken by colleagues.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application, you will possess the following attributes:

  • You will be a Commercial Property Solicitor Legal Executive or equivalent who has property litigation experience or a desire to undertake contentious work. It is likely that you will be at least 2 years PQE although this level is a guide only and consideration will be given to candidates of all levels of experience.
  • Ability to manage own case load with or without support staff.
  • Willing to utilise the firm’s practice and case management system.
  • Ability to assist with the marketing and development of the department including a willingness to produce written content for marketing materials.
  • Strong IT skills.
