QualitySolicitors Martin Tolhurst appoint local air ambulance as their charity of the year 2015!

The announcement of the firm’s new 2015/16 charity of choice was made after a vote amongst all colleagues.

Managing Partner, Richard Carter said: “We are delighted that our staff has chosen this vital local charity as our Charity of the Year with an overwhelming vote. Kent Air Ambulance is close to the hearts of both our clients and staff and we look forward to raising funds for them over the next 12 months.”

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust are a registered charity, established in 1989, and provide an independent air ambulance service with 2 helicopters for the people across the region. They operate 365 days per year, aiming to bring the emergency department to critically ill, injured patients to assess and stabilise them; before taking them quickly and directly by land or air to the most appropriate hospital expeditiously to treat their injuries.

Each year, the trust seek to raise approximately £6.5 million in order to keep the life-saving helicopters in our skies every day of the year – which comes from the donations of individuals, groups, businesses, companies and clubs from across Kent, Surrey & Sussex.

This year the firm will be setting themselves the target of raising enough funds to buy a ventilator used to help a patient breathe after being administered anaesthetic and to pay for a medical training course for a doctor or paramedic who will be a part of the life-saving Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance team.
