Conveyancer of the Year! Kent's Gemma Nie scoops national award

  • Posted

The annual LFS Awards are renowned as the major industry awards for Conveyancing to cover the UK. The LFS Annual Awards Ceremony was held at the Vox Centre in Birmingham on 18th September 2019 with an audience of over 400 conveyancers from all over the country. The LFS judges pride themselves on their rigorous adjudicating process describing it as “very thorough, ensuring that award winners can be proud that they and their firms are indeed star performers!” The awards, which are sponsored by Groundsure received hundreds of submissions and nominations throughout the year.

It is with enormous pride that Martin Tolhurst solicitors can announce Gemma Nie, a Conveyancer based at our Medway office, won the national award of  ‘Conveyancer of the Year 2019’.  Gemma’s positive client feedback and the submissions of her work to the judges secured her the award from stiff competition from conveyancing firms across England and Wales.

Richard Carter, Managing Partner explained, “Gemma has worked for the Firm since February 2015. She has trained as a conveyancer with us and is a real home grown talent. This last 3 years has seen her blossom into a very effective conveyancer who goes above and beyond for her  clients. Her clients and our staff really appreciate her.  She has been a top performer for us and this national recognition is extremely well deserved. Gemma is a brilliant team player and we are so proud of her fantastic achievement.”

After being short-listed again this year for ‘Conveyancing Firm of the Year 2019’ (London and South East) as well as ‘Best Firm for, Marketing Website and Social Media’ and Conveyancer, Gemma Nie for, ‘Best Individual Conveyancer of the Year’ the triple shortlisting has been a fantastic achievement in itself for the firm and the staff.

Martin Tolhurst won  the ‘Regional Firm of the Year for London and the South East’ in 2018’ and this year were again Highly Commended. In the last 4 years the Firm has won the Regional award twice and been Highly Commended twice – a feat no other firm in the South East region can match. This year however “the true cherry on the top” was Gemma being named Conveyancer of the Year nationally.
