Solicitor - Private Client

I joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in August 2024 as a Private Client Solicitor, specialising in all aspects of wills, lasting powers of attorney (LPAs), probate, estate administration, and Court of Protection matters.

With over seven years of experience as a Private Client Solicitor, I understand that dealing with personal legal matters—especially those concerning estate planning and mental capacity—can be overwhelming. My approach is to provide clear, practical advice with empathy and sensitivity, ensuring my clients feel fully supported throughout the process.

How I Can Help You

  • Wills & Estate Planning – Helping individuals and families protect their assets and plan for the future.
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) – Advising on and preparing LPAs to ensure trusted individuals can manage your affairs if needed.
  • Court of Protection Matters – Assisting clients with deputyship applications and mental capacity-related legal issues.
  • Probate & Estate Administration – Handling straightforward and complex estates efficiently and with care.
  • Tailored Advice & Client-Focused Service – Offering guidance that is clear, practical, and designed to meet individual client needs.

My Legal Journey

I completed a Degree in Law and Spanish in 2010 before going on to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Westminster University. After moving to Reading for work, I spent seven years as a Private Client Solicitor, gaining extensive experience in all areas of private client law. In 2024, I relocated and joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, bringing my expertise to clients in Kent and beyond.

I am an Associate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and am working towards completing the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates in England and Wales to become a full STEP member in 2025.

While I handle all aspects of private client law, I have a particular interest in Court of Protection work and mental capacity matters, as well as estate administration.

About Me

Outside of work, I enjoy baking, swimming, and spending time with my family.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I would be...

A professional traveller, exploring the world one destination at a time!

If I were stranded on a desert island, my must-have music and books would be:

  • Any early Coldplay album – timeless and always relaxing.
  • A Nicholas Sparks novel – a perfect read for a quiet escape.
