With more than 35 years’ experience in the legal profession, Jayne specialises in residential property matters and advises clients on a wide range of conveyancing transactions, including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Remortgages
Transfers of equity
I graduated from the University of Leicester in 1984 with an LLB Law degree before completing my Law Society Final Examination at the Guildford College of Law in 1985. I completed my training at a general practice in Watford and qualified as a Solicitor in November 1987.
During the early part of my career, I gained experience across several areas of law, including property, family law, civil litigation and private client work. I soon discovered that property was the area I enjoyed most and have specialised in Residential Conveyancing since 1998.
I understand that buying or selling a property can sometimes feel stressful, so I aim to make the conveyancing process as straightforward as possible. Clients know me for providing practical support and guidance in a relaxed and reassuring manner, using plain English rather than unnecessary legal jargon.
I pride myself on my attention to detail and my ability to identify potential issues early, find practical solutions and keep transactions progressing as efficiently as possible.
If I were not a lawyer, I would be:
A teacher. I sometimes think I should have been born in a different age, as being a governess or private tutor would probably suit me perfectly. I’m not quite sure I could handle a full classroom!

The complete works of the Brontës, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and an Agatha Christie compilation.
