Hannah Sharp

Trainee Solicitor

Hannah is a Trainee Solicitor at Martin Tolhurst, and has been training within our Gravesend office for the last 8 months, specialising in Wills. Hannah mainly deals with will referrals that we receive, and she is also able to prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate Oaths and IHT forms.

What Hannah says:

After gaining my BSc Hons degree in Law and Criminology at Canterbury Christchurch University, I completed my Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, London. I then gained some valuable experience as a secretary doing Conveyancing and Wills and Probate at two different Firms in Ashford and Maidstone. I joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in April 2018 as a Trainee Solicitor.

I am currently working in the Wills & Probate department and enjoy talking to and meeting clients in order to assist them in planning for the future.

Following on from this area of law, I hope to undertake my other two seats working within the Family and Residential Conveyancing/Property Law departments as part of my training to become a Solicitor.

I believe it is extremely important to be organised, in order that I am able to provide a professional service for all of our clients. Legal jargon can be confusing at times, and I aim to  ensure that our clients understand and are confident throughout all legal proceedings.

Outside the office I volunteer for my local church, and I help run a local youth drama group in Ashford. I love going to the theatre, reading, baking and spending time with my family and friends. I also love to travel, even if it is just round the UK camping.

If I were not working in the legal profession, I would be...

A skydive instructor. I did a skydive for charity last year, and I absolutely loved it!
