During her first year with the firm, Alice gained experience within our Admin and New Business teams, giving her valuable insight into how the firm works and how clients are supported from their very first contact with us.
Alice has now moved into our Family Law Department for her first legal seat, where she continues to build her knowledge and practical legal experience as she works towards qualifying as a solicitor.
I joined Martin Tolhurst in September 2025, shortly after completing my A Levels, to begin the Solicitor Apprenticeship programme. The six-year programme allows me to work towards qualifying as a solicitor while gaining practical experience within the firm alongside my studies.
I spent my first year working within the Admin and New Business departments, which gave me a really useful understanding of how the firm operates and the importance of providing clients with a positive experience from their first contact with us.
I have recently moved into the Family Law Department for my first legal seat, which is an exciting next step in my apprenticeship.
Although my legal career is only just beginning, I have already learnt so much and I am looking forward to gaining experience across the different areas of law that Martin Tolhurst offers.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and going to the gym. I also love travelling and always like to have my next holiday booked!
I would probably work in early years education. It was the career I originally considered before law caught my attention after I completed work experience at a Magistrates’ Court with my mum, who is also a solicitor.
