Abbie Oswald is a Conveyancer based at our Ashford office. Having joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in 2018, Abbie has built her career from the ground up within our Conveyancing Department. Her dedication, curiosity, and commitment to client service have seen her progress through several roles while developing a strong understanding of the conveyancing process from start to finish.

Her approachable manner and clear communication help clients feel confident and informed throughout what can often be a stressful time. Abbie takes pride in offering practical, down-to-earth advice tailored to each client’s individual needs.

My Legal Journey

Before joining Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, Abbie completed two apprenticeships that strengthened her organisational and administrative skills. Starting with the firm as an Office Administrator in 2018, she discovered her passion for law and began studying with CILEX in 2021.

In 2020, Abbie was promoted to Legal Secretary, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation for conveyancing. She completed her CILEX Level 3 Diploma in Law and Practice in May 2023 and is now working towards her CILEX Level 6 Diploma, with plans to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in March 2026.

About Me

Abbie’s colleagues describe her as positive, organised, and quick-witted – qualities that shine through in her work and her sense of humour.

If she were not a Conveyancer, Abbie says she would be a stand-up comedian – “I’ve got plenty of material from conveyancing files!”

If stranded on a desert island, she would take Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover, music by The 1975, and Sam Fender’s Hypersonic Missiles to keep her company.
