Alex Eddy
Alex joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in January 2026 as a Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing Department. With over two decades of post-qualification experience, she brings a calm, practical approach to residential property transactions, supporting clients through what can often be one of the most significant decisions of their lives.
Alex is known for her straightforward communication style and for guiding clients clearly through each stage of the conveyancing process, ensuring they feel informed and supported from instruction to completion.
How I Can Help You
Alex advises on all aspects of residential conveyancing, including:
- Sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties
- Transfers of equity
- Re-mortgages
- Residential property matters requiring clear, practical legal advice
She understands the importance of efficiency, accuracy, and reassurance, particularly where tight timescales or complex personal circumstances are involved.
My Legal Journey
Alex graduated from Bournemouth University in 1998 with a Business Law LLB degree and completed her Legal Practice Course the following year. She qualified as a Solicitor in October 2002.
Since qualifying, Alex has gained broad experience working in a number of law firms across Bournemouth and the Purbeck area in Dorset, developing a strong foundation in residential conveyancing and client-focused legal services.
About Me
Outside of work, Alex enjoys walking her dog along the beaches and rural byways of Dorset and spending time with her son, who is now grown up but still very much at the centre of her world.
If I Were Not a Lawyer…
I would love to be a writer, although a lack of talent and imagination has rather curtailed that ambition.
If I Were Stranded on a Desert Island…
I would be very unhappy without my dog (or wine), and I would absolutely hate the heat – as anyone who has ever seen my hair will readily attest.
