Paige joined the firm towards the end of 2017 and began dealing with new enquiries that are received by the firm at our Head Office in Gravesend. She was able to engage with clients and lawyers alike to ensure that our services are delivered in a professional, efficient and approachable manner from the very beginning. Paige began her Trainee Contract in December 2020 and is currently working in the Commercial departments team.
What Paige says:
I studied law at the University of Kent and graduated in July 2017. Shortly after, I joined Martin Tolhurst as a New Enquiries Administrator where I was tasked with dealing with all new enquiries coming in to the firm.
In 2018, I enrolled on to the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford and studied part-time on the weekends alongside by full-time role. In October 2020, having moved to online study and exams due to the pandemic, I graduated with a Distinction.
After almost 3 years of working at Martin Tolhurst, I was thrilled to be offered a Training Contract by the firm and began my first seat in the Commercial Department in December 2020. My main focus is assisting the solicitors in the department with lease extensions and commercial property matters.
Outside of work the majority of my time is spent with my daughter, my partner and our two cats, Pepsi and Cola. We enjoy watching films, visiting new country parks and playing a good board game.
If I were not a Trainee Solicitor I would be..
A forensic psychologist exploring what makes people commit crimes – probably due to my love of Criminal Minds and CSI.
If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three pieces of music with me they would be...
My first choice would be ‘Lonely the Brave – Backroads’ as it is one of my favourite songs. Then I would have to take ‘Falling in Reverse – Loser’ as it’s a song you can play on repeat and never get sick of hearing (which will definitely be handy if I’m stuck for a long time). Finally I would choose ‘Pierce the Veil – King for a Day’ as the chorus is incredibly catchy and it’s a song my partner and daughter both like so I would be reminded of home.
