A specifically diverse case which Lesley was recently involved with was acting for a Buyer who was purchasing a property with a flying freehold bedroom and en-suite which was over an accessway to the rear of the property. The case to a twist when they found that half the bedroom and en-suite were in fact still owned by the original developer. The case was resolved successfully and the buyer was happy with the purchase.

What Lesley says:
“I have been involved in conveyancing for more years than I care to remember and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this field. I started my career in conveyancing as a secretary originally at a reputable law firm based in Sheerness and worked my way up to become a Residential Conveyancer.
I joined the Residential conveyancing team at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in 2011 and am based at the Firm’s Sittingbourne office.
Having done this job for such a time, I understand how stressful it is for clients and pride myself on my professionalism and patience.
The Firm provides regular training to keep me up to date with current changes in conveyancing law.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two grandchildren who keep me young playing games, watching films and doing creative activities. I enjoy DIY and decorating, which I find therapeutic. I am also an avid reader, and enjoy losing myself in a good thriller.”
If I were not a lawyer, I would be...
Working with animals or children.
