Gemma Nie

Conveyancer

Gemma is a key member of our Medway based Conveyancing team. She deals with numerous leasehold and freehold transactions, with new builds and she's used to working under pressure. She works with all different values and enjoy dealing with different matters and developing good relationships with her client’s.

She has been in the legal industry since she left school but has been a conveyancer for 5 years. In her role she deals with a variety of different matters such as freeholds, leasehold, help to buy matters, including ISA’s, re-mortgages and transfer of equity matters and occasionally un-registered land.

What Gemma says:

“After completing my AS Level in Law, I started my legal career by working for a criminal law firm whilst I was studying a Legal Secretarial Course in 2008. An opportunity then arose to work within a Civil Litigation team at another Law firm based in Bexleyheath.

I wanted to expand my legal knowledge further and having always been interested in property law, I embarked on a change of legal field into the world of Conveyancing.

I completed my ‘CILEX Diploma’ at Level 3 in Law and practice in 2014, which included the area of Conveyancing.

I am also a member of CILEX, having illustrated to them that I have maintained a high level of knowledge and experience and am able to keep up-to-date with all of the changes in the law. As a member, I commit to completing continuous professional development and am always keen to expand my legal knowledge.

I am committed to providing the best service for my clients and will always take the time to speak to them on the telephone and deal with any queries they may have. I am well organised, reliable and aim to make transactions run as smoothly as possible, whilst being professional and keeping clients fully updated.

Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my young son and taking part in sporting activities. I also enjoy going to the theatre and Cinema and exploring new places.”

If I were not a lawyer, I would be...

A police office (no uniform!), probably CID or MID as I am quite nosey and I think it would be interesting.

If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three music albums with me, they would be…

Nellyville by Nelly; Get Rich or die Trying by 50 Cent; Lastly the Greatest Girl bank of all time, Spice Girls – their Greatest hits is the best album ever.
