Gemma Nie

Partner

With over 10 years of experience in residential conveyancing, I specialise in handling leasehold and freehold transactions, remortgages, transfers of equity, Help to Buy matters (including ISAs), and new-build properties. I also have experience dealing with unregistered land, ensuring my clients receive clear and practical legal guidance, no matter how complex their transaction.

I take pride in developing strong relationships with my clients, many of whom return to me for future transactions. I understand that buying or selling a property can be stressful, so I work efficiently and proactively to ensure a smooth process. My goal is to provide clear communication, practical advice, and reassurance, making the experience as seamless as possible.

My Legal Journey

I have been in the legal industry since leaving school, starting my career in criminal law while studying a Legal Secretarial Course in 2008. I then gained experience in civil litigation before discovering my passion for property law and transitioning into conveyancing.

Through dedication and professional development, I progressed within the field, ultimately becoming a Partner at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors. My extensive experience means I am well-equipped to handle high-value transactions, new-build developments, and complex property matters, always ensuring my clients feel informed and supported.

About Me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children and am actively involved in my local community. I manage a children’s football team and am a dedicated Liverpool FC supporter. I also enjoy taking my son to his martial arts and boxing classes.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I would be working with animals—I have a love for dogs and goats!

If I were stranded on a desert island, the three albums I’d take with me would be:

- Spice Girls Greatest Hits (because it’s the best album ever!)
- Get Rich or Die Tryin’ – 50 Cent

- Nellyville – Nelly
