Connor Martin

Trainee Solicitor

Connor joined the firm in February 2021 as an Office Administrator at our Medway office. Connor began his Trainee Contract in September 2021 and is currently working in the Residential Conveyancing department.

What Connor says:

I studied law at the University of Surrey where I graduated in 2019. I enrolled on the Legal Practice Course with Masters at the University of Law shortly after on a full-time basis where I graduated in 2020 with a Distinction.

Since finishing my studies, I was working full time as an Electrical Labourer whilst applying for jobs roles in law. I joined Martin Tolhurst in February 2021 as an Office Administrator helping the team with a number of administrative duties in a very busy period with the Stamp Duty holiday. In June 2021, I was delighted to hear that Martin Tolhurst wanted to take me on as a trainee solicitor. My main focus now is helping other fee earners with the various stages of the conveyancing process and learning as much as I can until I take on my own files.

Outside of work I like to challenge my mind through different physical pursuits, reading books and cooking. I am very fond of travelling and experiencing different cultures. My next trip booked is a holiday in beautiful Santorini.

If I were not a lawyer….

I would be in a position which also is very challenging and impacts people in a positive way. I believe a teaching role in History would make a lot sense as it was a subject I really enjoyed and teaching in general is a very rewarding career.

If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three books with me…

I would take one very large book to use for fire, one book that showed me how to survive on a desert island and one book that showed me how to get off a desert island.
