Martin Tolhurst Solicitors raise £10k for North Kent MIND
Martin Tolhurst Solicitors have just donated an astonishing £10,000 to their chosen charity North Kent MIND.
This is a massive achievement for the Kent solicitors where Mental Health Awareness is at the heart of their firms ethos.
North Kent MIND’s mission as an independent mental health charity is to provide a wide range of services for people who experience mental health problems, whether these are described as anxiety, depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Personality Disorder, or otherwise. They work with people individually or in small or large groups.
Their services cover a huge amount and that’s why supporting them to help fund their work is extremely important. Services include supported housing, low cost counselling, agoraphobic support, activity sessions, springboard, social groups, person centred planning, self-management courses, peer-led activities and open sessions.
To reach this huge charitable donation the team at Martin Tolhurst have been getting involved in many events throughout the year including peak challenge, bake offs, dress down days and abseils as well as the highly successful Santa Run and they have truly exceeded their selves in working towards this goal.
Managing Partner, Richard Carter, says “This was a fantastic effort for the firm and I am very proud of our staff. We had people doing all sorts of things to raise money and raising this much is a great achievement for our team! The work North Kent MIND does is incredible and is so important to the local area and beyond. We will continue to raise awareness of Mental Health in the work place and promote positive change.”
