What Yasmin says:

I am currently training to become a Licenced Conveyancer. This involves studying in my free time and submitting assessments for each module. I started at Martin Tolhurst as an Office Administrator, and within four months moved on to a Legal Secretarial role. After a year and a half of this role I began to take on my own files whilst also continuing with my at home studying.

I have dealt with a lot of Help to Buy matters. This includes Help to Buy ISA’s along with Help to Buy Equity Loans.

Outside of the office I am a very creative person. I do a lot of painting commissions and my most recent project has been up cycling furniture ready for my new house. I also enjoy cooking and baking, and have provided many batches of cupcakes to the office!

If I were not a lawyer, I would be...

I would be an interior designer. I have always loved putting a vision in my head into practice and experimenting with new ways to decorate and renovate spaces at home.

If I were stranded on a desert island and could take three pieces of music, or films or books, with me, they would be…

Firstly, I would take with me the book ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ by Delia Owens. It’s a beautiful book and would also come in handy for tips on how to survive stranded by myself as the story follows a young girl who’s Mum and Dad left her to fend for herself at age 5. Would recommend to anyone who is a bookworm like me!

I would then probably also take a book of survival tips for being stranded a desert island (or is that cheating?!).

And finally I would take one of the Harry Potter films, no explanation needed- just the best films ever!
