What Laura says:

“I joined the firm in 2006 as a Junior Legal Secretary whilst studying the ‘ILEX Legal Secretarial Course’ at South Kent College, Ashford. I really enjoyed being part of a strong conveyancing team and gained a lot of experience in the field. I decided in 2012 that I wanted a slice of the action and embarked on my journey to become a Conveyancer by applying to the Council for Licenced Conveyancers to become a Licenced Conveyancer.

I understand first-hand the stresses that come with being a first time buyer, as well as being involved in a lengthy chain with time restraints. It is rewarding to guide clients from all different walks of life through what can be one of the most stressful experiences. To give the news to a client that they have exchanged contracts or completed their sale/purchase is a great feeling and hearing their satisfaction makes the job worthwhile.

I pride myself on building a trusting rapport with clients and this was evidenced in 2015 when I won a Martin Tolhurst Solicitors Client Care award for consistently positive client feedback.

In my spare time I like to socialise with family and friends and enjoy exercising - particularly running and ‘CrossFit’. In 2014 I raised money for charity and participated in a tandem skydive with colleagues to raise money for the firms 2014 Charity of the Year, The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust. In 2016 I did a rock climb up mount Tryfan and walked mount Snowden. In the summer of 2017 I will be travelling to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This adventure is in order to raise money for another charity.”
