What Joanna says:

Having completed my Higher National Diploma in Law, I joined a local Solicitors’ practice in Larkfield in June 2000. I proceeded to complete my Licensed Conveyancers course with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers qualifying in November 2006 and went on to specialise in all aspects of freehold, leasehold and re-mortgages at the firm.

I later joined Martin Tolhurst Solicitors in May 2012 and since that time have dealt with all aspects of the conveyancing transaction - from opening files, right up to completions, including registering transfers and charges at the Land Registry.

In 2015, I won the firms Client Care Gold Award as a result of the praise and positive feedback I had received from both clients I have acted for and estate agents. An essential part of the conveyancing service is to provide excellent customer service and I recognise this as being an invaluable skill.

I am professional yet approachable and recognise that the conveyancing process can seem daunting, especially when chains are involved. I therefore always strive to make the conveyancing process as efficient and stress-free as possible.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring to local country parks and going to the seaside with my son and two dogs.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I would...

Work with animals as they appreciate care and attention so much.

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would take...

Seed potatoes in order that I could make my own crisps (due to my love of crisps!), fresh water to drink and a hammock.
