On Friday 21^st October QualitySolicitors Martin Tolhurst hosted a Strawberry Tea Day in support of Breast Cancer Care. It was an amazing day and we are proud to announce that we raised £1,200 for this fantastic cause. Breast Cancer Care is our chosen charity for 2011 and we wanted to raise as much money as possible. Staff throughout the Firm baked cakes which other members of staff were able to buy. The Ashford office invited local businesses and clients to their offices so they could enjoy the wonderful cakes made.

Those businesses that visited the Ashford office thoroughly enjoyed the cakes on offer. Sue Button, who visited us on the day, said “Just wanted to say thank you for making us feel so welcome today – everyone loved the cakes and want to know where they came from because they are the best thing they have ever eaten, “heavenly cupcakes”… “I don’t think I told you this but last week was the anniversary of our colleague Kathy passing away, she lost her battle against breast cancer 4 yrs ago so your timing was quite ironic especially as cake was Kathy’s favourite thing ever so we’ve all toasted Kathy with your cake and cuppa and had some fun remembering her today – thank you so much for that.”

Who ever you speak to, they seem to know someone who is affected by breast cancer. It’s an awful disease but hopefully by hosting days like the Strawberry Tea Day, we may be able to make a small difference for those affected.
