QualitySolicitors is the UK’s first national legal brand and Martin Tolhurst is proud to announce that it has been chosen as the firm to lead QualitySolicitors in Kent. The firm will be re-branding to QualitySolicitors Martin Tolhurst. Martin Tolhurst will remain an independent firm and will still offer our clients an independent, professional and specialised service but with the added support and marketing of QualitySolicitors

QualitySolicitors is to launch 50 new branches, including Martin Tolhurst in late November to add to the 15 firms already trading. QualitySolicitors requires all its member firms to have excellent client feedback on the quality of service and advice provided.

The first 15 QualitySolicitors branches were launched in May 2010 and Martin Tolhurst has been an associate member since 2009. Quality Solicitors expects to have 200 branded law branches across England and Wales by October 2011.

Alternative Business Structures become effective from October 2011 and enable non- law firms to offer legal services as a result of the Legal Services Act. This has often been dubbed by the media as “Tesco Law” even though Tesco has confirmed they will not be offering legal services. The legal landscape is changing and it is predicted that many smaller “general practice” legal firms will disappear from the High Street as a result of these changes. Martin Tolhurst recognises the different ways members of the public will be offered legal services and we believe that our association with QualitySolicitors enables us to offer high quality independent legal services to all of our clients.
